Is Doing Paid Surveys Worth the effort

I hear a lot of people say things like “paid surveys are a waste of time” “you can earn any real money doing paid surveys” and I can completely understand where these people are coming from, I used to be one of them.

This was once true. Five years ago the online market research industry was still in its infancy, the few market research companies that had moved online where still finding their feet and in turn only offering very limited amounts of surveys to their members they were also unsure of how and how much to pay their members. Even only a few years ago the paid survey industry was struggling to get things right, the online forms they used and the whole sign up for membership process was a complete mess.

Today, yes paid surveys are worth the time the average paid survey will take between 5 – 20 minutes to complete and the basic pay rate for the time taken would be about 3-8 dollars depending on who it is with and how long it takes you. Though this may not seem like a large amount of money at first, these small amount added up on a regular basis do amount to considerable sums. I have in the past completed surveys that have taken me around 15 minutes to complete have been paid ten dollars for these! This is a total of forty dollars an hour! I don’t think I have ever earned above this hourly rate in my previous career. Though you will not receive surveys like this all the time the other benefits of completing paid surveys have always been enough to keep me interested in doing them. thing like the time flexibility, personally is pen a lot of time on my computer at night usually after about 10pm this is the time that i take to complete the majority of my surveys, I don’t know of any other job in the world that allows you to complete work at this time of the night any day of the week including weekends.

I will often simply be sitting on my computer looking to pass sometime, in the past I have done things like read news articles and look up the weather even though I am in no way interested in any of these things it simply fills the need for me to be doing something. Now days I use this time to complete paid surveys and make money in the process.

There are many chances to earn huge money doing paid surveys with companies that offer to give you entries into cash and prize competitions, I have seen cash prize pools get up to well over one hundred thousand dollars, when I say this I am only referring to the Australian companies that we list, the international ones can get to substantially more than that again. Imagine what you could do with that sort of money? That is life changing, and all you need do to be in with a chance to win it is complete a few easy paid surveys, what could be simpler than that? I have one a couple of prizes from paid survey companies nothing as big as what I have mentioned above but I have receive a TV and cash prizes on separate occasions. The TV was delivered to my house by courier within a week of the prize draw!
