This article aims to give people an understanding of why I started this site and also to help dissolve some of the beliefs about online surveys in general.
My story.
My name is Simon and I live in Sydney NSW. I am the owner of this site and I would like to just give a brief idea of how I have come to find online surveys and why have started this site.
I first started doing online surveys in 2001 and let me tell you the online surveys industry has come a very long way since then.
The options and choices for online surveys in 2001 was between about all of six companies that I could find at the time and I remember that half of those never even sent me any surveys to complete. Some time a look back and wonder why I even stuck out doing online surveys for money for so long. Over the years I have been ripped off and had my time wasted but at the end of the day I guess I was just happy to be earning a little extra money from the comfort of my own home plus at time the surveys that I got to complete were fun.
Though online surveys companies started out very slowly, over the last few years the online survey companies have really started to get their act together and make some real progress. Never before have there been so many online surveys companies offering to pay such good money for their members to complete surveys and as I mentioned above it seems to be getting better each year.
I am hoping that people can benefit from my loss, learn from my mistakes and use this website as a safe place to find all the best online survey companies available in Australia today.
The amount of surveys members are offered today are far more than I used to receive back when I first started and on top of that the amount you could earn per survey is also substantially more. This largely explains why so many people think that doing online surveys is a waste of time or a rip off; even I used to think the same way! back then I was always on my computer and I was keen to earn any extra money that I could, so I stuck it out, but most people didn’t they just simply went around telling people how bad of an experience they have had with doing online surveys, I don’t blame them if I had, had something better to do with my time I probably would have been one of them. My earnings made over the first year or so if I was lucky I may have had enough money saved from doing surveys to buy a new computer. Today is completely different there are online survey companies popping up everywhere and the amount a person can earn for each completed survey in constantly going up, on top of that the amount of surveys that members receive is going up also. Gone are the days sitting staring at your in box for the next online surveys invitation to come along. Just this morning I opened my online surveys email account and my in box had over 15 invites overnight! Now I get to pick and choose what surveys I want to fill out instead of the companies getting to choose who fills out what. So I guess it is just taking some time for people to catch up with the rapid growth of the industry.
Another reason that people have such negative beliefs about online surveys is simply because over the last 4 years there have been a lot of companies out claiming that you can make thousands of dollars a week doing online surveys, followed by “for a one of fee of 39 dollars”. these offers where never legitimate once they had your money they would send you a list of companies you can sign up to for free and take your money and run. It is unbelievable how many people got ripped off by these programs/offers, ill even admit to be one of the first.
I started his site simply because the old beliefs about online surveys are just no longer true, and I think that there are definitely benefits to be gained from doing them. With sites like mine I hope that no one ever gets ripped off by any of those nasty paid online surveys offers and begin to understand that the industry is no longer what people thing and not what it used to be.
I think that anyone with a computer, a little extra time and looking for some extra money should get involved in doing online surveys; they are easy, fun and can be done by anyone at home or at work.
