What is mystery shopping?
Mystery shopping enables people to get paid for doing reviews of local retail outlets and service centres. You sign up to a mystery shopping company and they will provide you with a list of the current shops to be reviewed. If you live in the vicinity of any of the listed shops you can apply to participate in doing a review on it. In return for your review you will be rewarded, in my experience this has always been in the form of a cash payment.
You will often need to purchase an item (sometimes an item in particular) from the predefined shop that you have been delegated with your own money once you have completed the online forms and submitted your review you will then be reimbursed for both your time and the item you purchased. Though the item you need to purchase will also often be predefined and in a low price bracket.
Doing mystery shopping can for some be very convenient as it can be done as part of you usual shopping routine.
